INTERVIEW WITH FIRDAUS

Bunny: Hi Firdaus. I think your name is really cool. I know that you are a designer. When did you start designing and do you think it is fun?

Firdaus: Thank You Bunny! My name means : Paradise/Heaven but just not any Paradise..its the 7th level (the highest) part of heaven ♥
I start getting in art, making cards and comics when i was in Primary school, i would make Christmas cards on paper and sell it to the kids at school, so i would have some xtra money to buy presents for the family. I LOVE making art, its not just fun for me..its as neccesary for me as oxygen is to humans (or carrots to bunnies)

Bunny: What is your favourite colour and your favourite animal?

Firdaus: My favourite colour probably would have to be GREEN, not bright green but earthy gumtree green.. i LOVE nature and trees. I also like deep reds, like the red leaves sometimes you see in Autumn and also on some trees/plants when they have new shoots/leaves..
Animal - hmm, a bit hard question - i have never had pets all my life (just four kids..haha) - but if i was to have a pet, i would like a cat.
But if you are asking about wild animals, i admire Horses, Tigers, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and even the hippopotamus is sometimes strangely cute!

Bunny: Have you ever heard a real Kookaburra singing? Kookaburras are really cute.

Firdaus: Yes, i have heard them sing.. i use to live in a house in east of Melbourne called Ferntree Gully and the Kookaburra's would come and sit on the tree and sometimes on the verandah (balcony) and wait for me to feed them something.. and also sometimes i remember i am sitting there..thinking of some problem i am having and then they would laugh..and then i would laugh too..I think they remind me not to worry so much, and when we laugh things look/feel better ♥

Bunny: Please tell me anything else about yourself that you would like to share!

Firdaus: Other things about me..
-I have four kids. i had my first child when i was 20yo and my 4th when i was 28yo.
-My first child (now 26yo) was born profoundly deaf, so i had to teach myself how to sign and then teach her.. she is doing really well, and finishing her 4th year in Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at University this year!
-I was born in Penang (an island) in Malaysia and when to my primary school years in Malaysia, but high school years i did in Sussex, UK
- i left home for good when i was 16yo
- in March 2001 and i shave all my hair off and kept it off for until 2006 - sometimes i shave it all off when life gets a bit stagnant.. its like giving a plant a real good prune.. it makes me feel much better! picture:
Ok, i think thats some things you might not know about me, maybe you find it interesting :)

Bunny: Thank you Firdaus. It was so nice and so interesting to interview you! How about visiting her store some time? Webgrrl

INTERVIEW WITH JESS

Bunny: I'm so glad I get to interview you. What's your favourite kind of art to do?

Jess: My favorite kind of art to do is sketches. I absolutely love the feel of sketch paper and rubbing the pencil marks on the page to "draw" shading in with the charcoal on my fingertips. I really like doing portraits and figure sketches.

Bunny: What's your favourite colour and your favourite animal?

Jess: My favourite colour is not something that has ever been easy for me to nail down. It is sometimes in the blue/green spectrum and sometimes in the red/orange spectrum. I like indigo quite a lot but purple is my least favourite shade in the entire colour spectrum.
As for my favourite animal...yeah I'm not really good at picking favourites of anything. I like dogs of all sizes: pugs, shih tzus, rottweilers, and mutts of all kinds. I also like cats, but the orange cats are definitely my favourite, so I guess I do have a favourite of something after all! Fish, birds, horses, llamas and alpacas are all pretty cool too.

Bunny: I had the pleasure of chatting with you, so I know you used to have a pony. I love horses and ponies so very, very much. Please tell me more about your pony.

Jess: Her name was Daisy and she was actually a horse, although she was short for a horse. She was very beautiful. She was a chestnut (red) colour horse and she had a blonde mane and tail. The only white spot on her was a star on her forehead. I always rode her bareback or with a blanket but never with a saddle.

Bunny: Does anything in particular inspire you?

Jess: I get inspired by all kinds of things. My kids, the art my kids come up with, my partner and nature inspires me too. Particularly, water, fire and trees.

Bunny: Please tell me whatever you'd like about yourself!

I'm a mom of four and my kids are almost four, ten, almost sixteen and eighteen. I have two girls and two boys. I also love to write and my blog is updated pretty frequently these days. My writing is frequently about my kids but I almost always add a little something in there about Zazzle. My partner and I met each other when we worked together ten years before we got together and now that we've been together for almost a year and a half, I'm at a point in my life where I've never been more happy.
About 13 years ago I was a barista - that was when I quit drinking coffee. Now I drink tea...green, black, white, red, herbal but mostly black with cream and sugar in it.
I also love roller coasters and skydiving is on my bucket list. So is some day going to Ireland, Australia and many European countries.

Bunny: Thank you Jess, for the nice Interview. And I am very very glad that you didn't ever put a saddle on your beautiful horse.

P.S.! Jess wanted me to include two pictures of her and her guy and her kids. So here they are!
